I DID NOT DRAW THIS!
Trust me if I could draw like this I would be doing it! Anyways.. On to why this image strikes me. My boyfriend and I are writing "companion novels" about our... "original characters." The reason why those phrases are in quotations is this; when we met a year and a half ago we were already well into writing our respective books. We discovered that we had written each others characters into the story. As lovers. This was before we fell in love. Strange is not quite the word I would have chosen. A few weeks later I was browsing around some website (I don't remember) for pictures of people kissing. And I found this. Ril and Dakarys. It just screamed at me that it was them. From Ril's dark skin, pointed ears, and leathery wings to the blindfold over Dak's eyes it is them. I don't know how to explain it. I apologize to whoever drew this for stealing it so blatantly but you have drawn a part of my soul. If you see this and want me to take it down, please.. reconsider. Thank you for giving me such a beautiful piece of art. Wow. I didn't expect that to turn out so long. Anyways....... |

It's happened to quite a few of my characters too, the "Oh, this couldn't be more PERFECT" type moment; it felt like some force was beyond my control putting things together, encouraging me. That's when I realized you just can't help falling in love with your characters
